Google's Instant Dictionary

A year ago, I also discovered that the Google search box can be used to define a word. If you want to know the definition of a particular English word, type in the search box "define: " (the colon is required) and the English word  you're searching. For example, to look for the definition of  "lexicographer", type in the search box "define: lexicographer", then hit ENTER key or click that "Go" button or magnifying glass icon (depending on what  browser you're using).

Currency Conversion

I discovered that the Google search box can actually calculate currency conversion. Cool! Nice work Google! Here's what you write in the Google search box.

    amount currency symbol "in" currency symbol


where currency symbol refers to the international currency symbol.


For example, to convert US$100 into Philippine Pesos, type "100 USD in PHP". Try it!
