brief profile

My name is Tony. Some of my friends call me TonyF to distinguish me from the other Tony's that we commonly know. My mother's name is Jovita; my father's Nicanor. I came on earth on March 11, 1962, Sunday, at 10:00 PM. So that makes my birth number 183274. I spent my grade school years in Makati Catholic School (now St. Paul College Makati); my high school years, in Malate Catholic School. Having earned a Bachelor in Accountancy degree, I was graduated from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in 1983. After graduation, I studied COBOL Programming in Systems Technology Institute.

My first job was in Development Bank of the Philippines. I also worked at Bank of America, Pilipinas Shell, Universal Reinsurance, Ayala Systems Technology, Inc., and Ayala Corporation. Most of my work was in accounting. In Ayala Corporation, my supervisor gave me a chance to be a computer programmer.

In 1996, I left Ayala Corporation and spent a year doing programming for small offices. In 1997, I emigrated to Canada. Finding out that the technology in Canada was very much ahead than that of the Philippines, I was jobless for four months except for a little volunteer work teaching Fr. Matt Meehan, a Redemptorist priest, on how to use the Internet.

Back in the Philippines, I worked for Ayala Systems Technology, and then for Working Hands Scholarship Foundation. Needing to do what I like most, I studied object-oriented programming and web development. I now work as an independent consultant for a handful of clients doing web design, developing business applications like payroll, implementing MYOB (an accounting software) or Simply Accounting, and graphic designing.

So, if you need my services, e-mail me, or call me at (home) (632)895-2632 or (+63)917-9914812 (mobile). Best time to call me is from 12:00 PM onwards (I'm usually up until 2:00 AM.)
